ABOUT THE MISSION:Missions list-2.png

Currey Creek began a strategic partnership with Iglesia Rey de Reyes (King of Kings Church) and Pastor Jorge Medina in Nicaragua nearly seven years ago. The purpose of the mission is to aid Rey de Reyes in spreading the gospel, discipleship training, equipping the saints and to help provide much needed material aid. Located in one of the poorest areas in Nicaragua, the church has a heart for children in the barrios. Most other churches will not allow children in without their parents, but Rey de Reyes remains a haven for children. Approximately 85 percent of attendees are under 18.

JORGE- NICARAGUAPastor Jorge has established associate churches in Katarina, Los Flores, and two new, smaller congregations in areas between Masaya and Managua. He and his wife Maria have many children and grandchildren, many of who live in his home.

Rey de Reyes is located in Masaya, which is the second largest city in Nicaragua. It is in one of the poorest areas of the city. The church building was originally a shack with a dirt floor and leaking tin roof, but now through the grace of God it is built of cinder block, and has a good metal roof. The church adjoins the pastor’s home. They have electricity and water, although there is no sewer or storm drain system.

Currey Creek makes a mission trip every summer to Rey de Reyes, and on occasion individuals go there more often. The summer trip centers around Vacation Bible School for the children. We also provide discipleship training for the adults and provide much needed material goods for the children such as school supplies, uniforms and clothing.
