*Spring Creek Institute - STARTS SUNDAY!
It's not too late to sign up for Creek Institute beginning THIS Sunday February 4th! Creek Institute will offer three 13-week studies. The offerings will be "New Testament Overview," "Marriage: God's Design," and "Strategic Discipleship: Theology, History and Methodology." These classes will take place from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons. For more information, please visit curreycreek.com/creekinstitute. Please note our Creek Clubhouse program is available for babies through 5th grade with registration of a Creek Institute class.
*Women's Spring Bible Study - Starts Next Week!
Women's Spring Bible Study will begin on Wednesday mornings, starting on February 7th from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. or Thursday evenings, starting on February 8th from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. The topic will be "Psalms: Songs for All Seasons" for the first 5 weeks, then beginning on March 21st the study will be "Ruth: From Famine to Fulfillment." *Men's Spring Bible Study - Starts Next Week!
Join us on Wednesday mornings at 6:00 a.m. for a 5-week study on "King Solomon: 5 Ways to Bring a Good Man Down" and after Spring Break, the topic will be a 5-week study on "Disciplines of a Godly Man." *Baptism Sunday
Our next Baptism Sunday is scheduled for THIS Sunday,February 4th. If you have an interest in being baptized, please call the church office at (830)755-8806 to set up an appointment with a pastor.
*Disciple Now
Currey Creek is partnering with First Baptist Church Boerne to put on a Disciple Now February 9th - 11th. "DNow" is an amazing in-town weekend retreat for students 6th -12th grade. The students will spend Friday and Saturday nights at a designated "host home" with 10-12 students of the same gender and grade, along with two college age/adult leaders. The schedule includes several teaching times, worship, a service project, and fun hang-out time with friends. To sign up, click here.
*Baby Dedication
Families with babies and young preschoolers mark your calendars for Baby Dedication Sunday, February 25th at the 10:30 a.m. service. This is a special Sunday set apart for our youngest members at Currey Creek. Baby Dedication Sunday is a time for parents to present their children before the Lord and our church family. Parents make the commitment to do their best to raise their children in a way that is holy and pleasing before the Lord and in God's word. Our church body returns that commitment with a prayer and blessing of support. To register, please click here.
*Students Summer Events
- Middle School Camp Winiwaca- Our one-day flash sale was a huge success! We now expect our camp to sell out during our early bird registration period. Camp dates are June 27th- July 1st! If you haven't registered be sure to do so as soon as possible so you don't miss out! For more information and to register, visit curreycreek.com/camp
- High School Beach Retreat-Our High School Beach Retreat registration begins Thursday, Feb. 1 at Midnight. Beach Retreat dates are June 11th- 14th! We expect this to sell out in one day, so be ready to register at curreycreek.com/beach.
- 2018 Senior Kenya Mission Trip-A small group of Senior High School students are traveling to Kenya for 2 weeks at the end of this Summer. Led by Jamie and Krissa Swift, and Student Pastor Bret Williams, this team will serve and disciple children throughout various regions of the country. *Connections Coordinator
Currey Creek is currently in the process of hiring a Connections Coordinator. This person would be in charge of connecting new people to the church body through discipleship opportunities, volunteer opportunities and membership. *Serve the Homeless
Currey Creek is partnering with Taking It to the Streets ministry to serve up food and fellowship to our homeless friends in downtown San Antonio on Saturday, February 10th. Volunteers are needed to help put together dinner for 200 people. If you can cook or purchase pasta, sides or desserts, please sign up at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080548a4ae29aa8-taking1.
