ABOUT THE CHURCH:

The Well held its first public gathering as a church in March of 2014. As a church, they formed with the vision of making disciples of Jesus Christ and planting Gospel-centered churches throughout the world.  The Well is dedicated to serving young leaders in their call to ministry.  The Well could not exist without the love and support of Gospel-centered, multiplying churches who are kingdom minded and believe that God is restoring the earth through his bride, the church.

In the short time they’ve been gathering, they have seen the Lord provide for every need. The Well meets in an old downtown Abilene space that was formerly a well-known cigar shop. They have a staff of three full-time and one part-time pastors and have over 80 volunteers who are dedicated to serving the mission that the Lord has brought about at The Well. They Currently meet at 202 Cypress St. every Sunday morning in downtown Abilene.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:

  • Pray for The Well - The well is a young church with many college students who need a great deal of pastoring. Pray for the Well's staff and elders to be excellent pastors of the church that God has gathered. Pray that God would raise up more pastors to help in this.
  • Donate to The Well - The Well is made up of mostly young families and college students. They can only afford the rent on a small space which is why they have three services. The Presbyterian foundation has given them a much larger space to meet in, but it is in need of a lot of renovation.
  • Give to one-time financial donation requests for this ministry as they are accepted and promoted by the Board of Elders
