ABOUT THE MISSION:
Taking It to the Streets is a non-profit 501(c)3 ministry dedicated to serving the least in the greater San Antonio and the Hill Country area through prayer, meals, clothing and support. Members and volunteers believe it is our calling as followers of Christ and a biblical command to love and serve the least. The ministry serves many homeless, hungry and less fortunate in our communities. It also serves and encourages one another in relationships, fellowship and community between volunteers and brothers and sisters in need. By out pouring love and acceptance Taking It to the Streets believes the ones we serve will see Jesus through us as we disciple them to become the people God purposed them to be. Matthew 25:40
Volunteers serve a warm meal and distribute clothing weekly to approximately 250 homeless people in downtown San Antonio. Taking It to the Streets is a Christian-based community that seeks to fulfill the opportunities for the body of Christ to take part in being the hands and feet of Jesus to serve and come along side those in need.
