CREEK UPDATES


*Family Reunion - formerly known as Family Dinner

Mark your calendars for our "Family Reunion" church celebration (formerly known as Family Dinner) on Sunday, August 26th! Come join your fellow Currey Creek Church members as we celebrate and highlight what God has done in our church this year. We will enjoy fellowship together, present building updates, introduce elders, renew membership and much more. This event will take place from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the Worship Center with a dessert social to follow the meeting. Please RSVP at www.curreycreek.com/familyreunion.


*Volunteers Needed for a Foster/Adoptive Parent Night Out

Our first event is scheduled for July 20th. Volunteers will work from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We need adults and teens 15 years and up to help with this event. For questions or to volunteer, please email Jenny Featherston at jfeatherston@curreycreek.com. The mission of Foster/Adoptive Parent Night Out (FAPNO) is to provide support and respite for the parents who serve our community's foster children. Parents receive an evening to have a break while volunteers care for their children. FAPNO also provides children the opportunity to build healthy relationships with other adults who care for them in a safe, nurturing environment.


*CREEK KIDS

Happy Summer Creek Kids! Here are 4 important announcements for all of our families this summer.

(1)Promotion Sunday is August 19th! Start getting excited!!

(2)Creek County Fair is moving to October 6th!

(3)Creek Kids Elementary summer break will be July 22nd - Aug 12th.

(4)We need you mom and dad! Please prayerfully consider joining the Creek Kids team next school year!!! For more information on any of these things, please email kids@curreycreek.com.


*CREEK KIDS - CREEK COUNTY FAIR

YEE-HAW! Be sure to save the date for our County Fair celebration this fall on Saturday, October 6th!  You won't want to miss one of our best family events by far! This is an evening full of food, good ole fashioned fun, and fellowship for all ages! Games, hay rides, cookout, and square-dancing await each of your families! Click here for more information.

*Adult Ministries

Our fall Creek Institute classes will start Sunday, September 9th, along with our Small Groups. Our Men's & Women's classes will kick off Wednesday, September 12th. There will be a Thursday evening Women's Bible study as well. We look forward to a great year of growing in our relationship with Jesus. More detailed information coming soon.

*Students

We are excited for this summer! Here are 5 Student Ministry Updates:

(1)Summer Upstream is for all incoming 6th -12th grade students and will run July 11th, 18th & 25th from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
(2)UpNext on Sunday mornings will not be meeting July 1st, July 22nd, July 29th, Aug 5th, & Aug 12th.
(3)Upstream Wednesday Night Fall Kickoff is August 22nd at 6:30 p.m.
(4)UpNext Sunday Morning Kickoff(now 6th grade only) is August 19th at 9:00 a.m.
(5)The Buddy Team Launch(7th-12th grade serve team) is August 19th at both church service times. For more information on any of these updates, please email students@curreycreek.com.


*Small Group Leader Interest

Have you felt a tug at your heart to start a small group? Have you been involved in small groups and are ready to take the next step into leadership? We would love to set up a meeting with you to discuss our heart for small groups at Currey Creek and how you can begin this fall. For more information, email Jared at jpatrick@curreycreek.com.

*4KIDS Foster Care training

Currey Creek is excited to host 4KIDS of South Texas Foster Care Agency as they offer training classes for anyone that is interested in becoming a foster/adopt parent. The orientation meeting is Tuesday, August 7th from 6-9 p.m. in the 2 story Creek Kids building. Childcare will be provided for the orientation. To register for this training, email jeng@4kidsofstx.org.
