CREEK UPDATES


*Membership Renewal

Family Reunion was an amazing time! Thank you to everyone who renewed your membership. If you missed it, we have membership cards available in the lobby or you can stop by the office and fill one out. All previous members, please fill out these new forms. We will be collecting renewal cards during the month of September.


*Voting Results

Based upon a 94% approval from our voting members, the elders have approved moving forward with the construction of a new children's building! Thank you for your prayerful consideration over the last two and a half years. Please continue to pray for this project over the coming year as we navigate construction.


*New to Currey Creek

Discovery Class (formerly Next Step Lunch) is our 1-hour class introducing anyone to Currey Creek's philosophy of ministry and how to quickly get connected into one of our ministries. If you are brand new and are looking for an introduction to Currey Creek, this class is for you. The class will be Sunday, September 9th at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel. *Fall On-Campus Small Groups

New this semester! We are offering on-campus sermon-based small groups on Sunday nights from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Small groups start up on September 9th. Each group meets weekly to discuss the biblical text from Sunday's sermon on the book of Philippians. Please visit www.curreycreek.com/small-groups to sign up! Creek Clubhouse childcare will be provided with registration for birth - 5th grade.


*Creek Kids

Welcome back CREEK KIDS and families! Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary grades have all started back. Thank you to all our CREEK KIDS volunteers for serving this Fall! We are so excited to dive into the New Testament and study Paul and his journeys with you. Clubhouse needs childcare workers starting Sunday, September 9th and Wednesday, August 12th, for Creek Institute classes. To get involved, please email sedwards@curreycreek.com.


*Students

  • 6th Grade UpNext program started last week during the 9:00 a.m. service. All 6th graders are welcome to join us for hands-on, interactive discipleship every Sunday morning in the UpNext Student Building.
  • Upstream is each Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. High school (9th-12th) will meet in the chapel as always, and Middle School (6th-8th) will meet in the Worship Center. See you there!
  • Buddy Team Training is September 9th! If you are new to Buddy Team and have not attended a training, join us Sunday, September 9th during the 10:30 a.m. service. Please make sure your student has turned in an application prior to the training. All 7th-12th grade students MUST attend a Buddy Team training before being placed. Students must be accompanied by at least one parent at training. Go to https://rock.curreycreek.com/buddy to apply.

*Creek Institute
Creek Institute starts Sunday, September 9th. This semester we will offer an 11- week study called "Church History: 2nd Century - Reformation". This class will take place from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons. Childcare will be provided with registration. For more information, please visit www.curreycreek.com/creekinstitute.

*Fall Bible Study

Women's bible study will begin on Wednesday mornings and Thursday nights, starting on September 12th and 13th. Women will be studying "Complete in Christ: A Study of Colossians" and men will begin on September 5th and will study "Faith/Works: The Book of James."
