Creek Updates Week of October 8th

CREEK UPDATES

*Parking & Traffic Changes due to new Construction    

Here are some important things to know as you navigate the campus in the coming weeks:

• The driveway that allows traffic to flow from the front of campus (Chapel side) to the back parking lot (Sanctuary side) WILL BE CLOSED until mid-December so that utility and drainage work can be completed.  This means that parking will be available at the front of the campus and at the back of the campus, but in order to travel between the two, you must take Cascade Caverns. To view the map, please click here!

• FRONT LOT: Please reserve the front lot on Sunday mornings for families with young children, visitors, and those needing handicap parking. If you are able, we are asking the majority of our church to park in the large back lot, entering from our rear entry off of Cascade Caverns.

• BACK LOT: The site of construction will be fenced off, but a safe walk zone will be created to allow passage from the back parking lot to the Sanctuary and the front of campus. Thank you for your patience during this phase of construction!

*Foundations Class - Membership Class THIS SUNDAY!

Foundations is a 1-hour class that serves as our membership process at Currey Creek that is offered once a semester. This will be offered THIS Sunday, October 14th at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel. This class takes us beyond Currey Creek's philosophy of ministry (Discovery Class) and into deeper issues involving salvation, baptism, statement of faith and church structure. *Students - Middle School Bible Study

A new Bible Study opportunity for 7th & 8th grade Middle School students will be offered Friday mornings from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. starting October 19th. We are excited to offer breakfast, hear from Logan as he leads us in a brief teaching and then break out into small groups. We hope to provide transportation from the church to their schools! *Creek Kids

Preschool Creek Kids will be collecting low prescription reading glasses with hard cases for Reaching Africa's Unreached Mission in Uganda. We have 2 preschool dads going soon to deliver them. Collection Sundays are October 14th & the 21st. The glasses are available at the Dollar Store. Donations can be placed in the box in the Preschool check-in area. Join us in praying for the spread of the gospel in Uganda! Also, Hill Country Daily Bread Ministry Gift Drive will start October 28th!!!

*New Small Group for Adoptive/Foster Parents

We are excited to offer a new campus-based small group for Adoptive/Foster parents. This Small Group will be led by the Newcom and Ross families on Sundays from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. in the Worship Center lobby. *Young Life Banquet

You're invited!!! Come out and join us for an evening of dinner, laughter, and stories of transformed lives. We are excited to share what's been happening in our ministries for middle schoolers, high schoolers, teen moms and students with special needs here in Boerne! *Baptism Sunday

Our next Baptism Sunday is scheduled for Sunday, October 21st. If you have an interest in becoming baptized, please call the church office at (830)755-8806 to set up an appointment with a pastor.

There are many things people all around the country are praying for during the month of October. Please join together with the Body of Christ at Currey Creek in praying -Lord, we thank you for all our pastoral staff and pray you continue to bless them, uphold them, strengthen them and shine your light through them.
