CREEK UPDATES


*New to Currey Creek?

You are invited to our Discovery Class THIS Sunday, January 13th at 12:00pm in the Chapel. Discovery Class (formerly Next Step Lunch) is our 1-hour class introducing anyone to Currey Creek's philosophy of ministry and how to quickly get connected into one of our ministries. If you are brand new and are looking for an introduction to Currey Creek, this class is for you. Please RSVP to curreycreek.com/discovery to attend.


*Creek Institute & Small Groups

Beginning January 13th, Creek Institute will offer an 8-week class on Parenting titled "Honey, I Think We Ruined the Kids..." led by some of our elders. Sermon-based small groups will also meet on campus during this time. This class and small groups will take place from 4:30-6pm on Sunday afternoons. For more information, please visit curreycreek.com/creekinstitute and curreycreek.com/small-groups. Please note our Creek Clubhouse program is available for birth-5th grade with registration. We are continuing the Creek Institute Small Group for Adoptive/Foster Parents again this semester with Adoptive/Foster parents Ryan and Kelly Newcom and Jill and Matt Ross as co-leaders if you are interested.


*Women's Spring Bible Study

Women's Bible Study will begin on Wednesday mornings, starting on January 16th from 9:30-11:30am or Thursday evenings, starting on January 17th from 6:30-8pm. The topic will be "Amazing Grace: A Study of Judges" for the first eight weeks, then beginning on April 3rd, the study will be "Growing a Grateful Heart." *Men's Spring Bible Study

Join us on Wednesday mornings at 6:00am for our Spring study of the "Sermon on the Mount". For more information and to register, please visit curreycreek.com/men. Our first class begins on Wednesday, January 16th in the Chapel.


*Student Updates:

  • Upstream - Upstream starts back tomorrow, January 9th from 6:30-8:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
  • Buddy Team Appreciation & Spring Training - We are ready to kick off another semester of Buddy Team and we want to celebrate you! We are asking all current buddies to join us after the 2nd service on Sunday, January 27th for a pizza party celebration and spring training session. We will go over a few things for the upcoming semester, introduce some new Buddies to the team, and play some games and hang out. This will occur while the adults that serve in Creek Kids are attending their training. Please take a moment to register here to have an accurate count for food.
  • Early Bird Camp Registration! Early Bird Registration started January 1st for both Middle School Camp Winiwaca and High School River Retreat. Simply go to curreycreek.com/summer and you will find the registration links for both camps. 
  • Disciple Now Weekend - February 8-10th is our Disciple Now Weekend! Every year we partner with FBC Boerne and our middle school and high school students gather for a weekend of teaching, worship, and community service while staying in host homes each night where they will have small group discussion. Our theme this year is how God is "Relentless" in his pursuit of us. For more information and to sign up your student please click here 

*Creek Kids Updates:

  • We would LOVE to have you join our team volunteering in Creek Kids on Sunday mornings! We are also hiring in our Creek Clubhouse ministry on Sunday evenings from 4:15-6:15pm as well as Wednesday mornings from 9:15-11:15am. If you are interested, please email Jenny at jfeatherston@curreycreek.com .
  • Volunteer Training - If you are new to Creek Kids or have an interest in serving, please join us on January 27th after the 2nd service for this Volunteer Training! This includes all current and new volunteers. Lunch and childcare will be provided. Please register at curreycreek.com/kidsvolunteers by January 24th.
  • Baby Dedication - Save the date for our Baby Dedication on Sunday, February 24th during the 10:30am service! This service is for families with babies and young children who desire to dedicate their children to the Lord and present them to the congregation for blessing and support. Please register your child at curreycreek.com/kidsevents no later than February 19th. We can't wait to pray for you and your precious ones!


*Baptism Sunday

Our next Baptism is Sunday January 20th. If you have an interest in becoming baptized, please call the church office by at (830)755-8806 to set up an appointment with a pastor.

Corporately Lord, as with one voice, we praise your Holy Name! We put aside anything that steals your rightful place in our minds and hearts. You are the air we breathe and your word is the food we eat. Protect us from the enemy of wasted time and guard our tongues.
